I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, thirty-something based out of Central Illinois. My best friend and I raise two kiddos on chaotic schedules in our vintage ranch and I couldn't love it more. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love for the people I love! I specialize in weddings (destination + local) and boudoir. I hope we have the chance to meet!

COVID has impacted so many weddings set for 2020, which is of course a disappointment, but that didn’t stop Sydney + Jared from planning their dream wedding. Sure, it was originally set for this winter in Champaign, but after hearing about their history a bit more during the toasts, I really believe this was all meant to be.
Sydney + Jared met at the very fairgrounds they inevitably became husband and wife at! Isn’t that sweet?!
They planned a beautiful day all around and mother nature provided the most beautiful weather in return! I met up with Sydney, her girls, and Blake with Ransom Wedding Films at the salon as the girls finished up getting ready. Once complete, we headed to Sydney’s childhood home to do final touches and first looks with not only Jared, but Sydney’s dad and grandmother had moments of their own while we were at it, and I know I’m pregnant and all but DAMN they got me and the tears were flowin’. 😂
Once we headed to the Ford County Fairgrounds, it was ceremony time. Now, I’ve seen weddings at the fairgrounds, but WOW, have I never seen a pig barn look so good! The string lights, entrance doorframe, and altar arch covered in florals was beautiful, but if I’m honest didn’t hold a candle to the reception space in the dance hall! WOW. They had farmhouse tables made FOR this reception and ALLLL the florals as centerpieces really transformed the space. I love that the head table wasn’t on the stage (which is the normal) but allowed for them to be in with everyone and allowed space for the band to set up later! It was a gorgeous night with perfect sunset light during portraits, which you KNOW is my fave. It was a night full of fun and so much joy and to top it off I got to end my night with an ELEPHANT EAR compliments of the fair truck they had come as the night went on!
Syd, Jared, I really wish the best for the two of you and hope you treasure these photos for more than a lifetime! I am so honored to have been your first choice to document it all and spending the day with you, your friends, and your wonderful loving families was the perfect way to spend my Friday. Congratulations.
