I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, twenty-something based out of Central Illinois. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love - photographing people! I specialize in weddings (destination + local), senior portraits, + boudoir.
Hey hey! Welcome back to the wedding world! It’s been a crazy few months, which means weddings for 2020 have been, off. But thankfully Saturday I was able to photograph my FIRST wedding of 2020! What a way to start things off too! Oh my god, I couldn’t have asked for better.
It was a warm summer day, and I met up with the girls first. After grabbing some details and getting Candra into her dress, she was ready to see her groom! These two are so so laid back and sweet, photos were a breeze! You may notice some familiar faces, as I photographed one of the groomsman, Ryan’s, wedding! In fact, Eric was in his wedding as a groomsman and Candra didn’t even realize it until after booking me! What a small world.
Luckily, even with all of the crazy this pandemic has brought on, we were all able to celebrate and have a good time! I cannot say enough good things about Hudson Farms and the hospitality Dan has provided to his clients. He’s the most down to earth guy and willing to do whatever is needed for both the guests AND the vendors, which is something that’s HARD to come by anymore.
My evening ended with the most perfect sunset and, you guessed it, the most epic sunset portraits of the two of them! I love every one and had a hard time choosing which ones to share with you here!
“We had discussed marriage but I was not expecting it at that time. He proposed the day before Valentines Day because he knew I would not expect it around that day as we both joke about how everyone gets engaged on Christmas and Valentines Day. We have livestock including cattle, goats, and chickens and we typically split up the evening chores, I normally am the one to put the chickens up and gather eggs. While I was in the barn feeding the goats he ran to the chicken coop and put the ring box in one of the nesting boxes. He came with me to the chicken coop and when I found the ring box asked me. I was excited and very happy! I liked how unique he did it! I’m not a person that likes having the attention put on me so I was happy that it was more intimate with just us than extravagant somewhere in public.” – Candra
The day was perfect, Candra + Eric! Thank you for letting me capture your special moments.
