OH Eeema (as Bexley calls her). I knew before we even set a date for senior photos what this girl would want. Being close family friends, I’ve known Emma (and her sister Chloe) since they were LITTLE. For the past few years, Emma’s had an obsession with sunflowers. Of course I knew we needed to plan for sunflowers in her senior photos! My normal private sunflower fields weren’t planted this year (boo) so I was on a search. During family photos for Ben, Sam, + Wynn – I noticed a small field planted that hadn’t been in bloom just yet. Knowing we were coming close to sunflower season I asked the owner how long until he guessed they’d be ready. He guessed two weeks, which of course landed me right in the middle of our Iceland trip! Luckily, the day after we got back I checked in and they had bloomed but were still decent, so we went with it and I’m so happy we did! To top it all off, Emma MIGHT be just as in love with a colorful sunset as I am (MIGHT) and we lucked out with a BEAUTIFUL one that we drove to get a better view of with what felt like seconds to spare!
