A Laid-Back, Romantic Hudson Farm Wedding Full of Wildflowers, Sunset Magic, and a Whole Lot of Heart

When I say “when you know, you know,” these two are the definition. Kelsey and James got married on the first anniversary of the day they met. ONE YEAR. And somehow they managed to buy a house the day before their wedding and move in the day after. Legends.

Their day at Hudson Farm in Urbana, Illinois was laid back, romantic, and full of the kind of moments that stick with you. The classic black and white attire paired with colorful wildflowers from Three Berry Flowers gave the whole day this perfect balance of timeless and fun.

It was also our very first all-inclusive wedding with the full team. Me, Kaula, Tori, and Paige all running photo-times-two, video, and even a same-day slideshow. Honestly, I can’t imagine a better couple to kick off that era with.

James is a hat guy, but Kelsey didn’t want him wearing one for the ceremony. So, right after they said “I do,” she gifted him a new hat and he instantly felt more himself. The grin on his face said it all.

Hudson farm is one of those venues that I instantly associate with sunsets – and BOYYY did this one execute! The sun gave us my favorite kind of sky full of color and dimension, allowing for some AMAZING shots and video. We even pulled the drone out for some top-tier golden hour magic. 🌅

As the night went on, Kelsey swapped her gown for the cutest BRIDE sweats and danced the night away with the LOHL James!
