The Most Perfectly Fall Engagement Photos with Evie and Joshua

This week I have a familiar face to share here on the blog! You may recognize Evie from her days as the 2019 Miss Ford County Fair Queen. She and I got to know each other during her photoshoot at the fairgrounds and we had the best day! So I was pumped when she reached out to share about her engagement to Joshua and to plan for their fall engagement photos.

For their engagement session, I met Evie and Joshua down south at their family’s property and I don’t think fall could look any more beautiful than it did this day. We started the day just driving around so I could see the property. But it didn’t take long before my brain was going into overdrive with all the possibilities!

Evie told me the story of how they met and I thought it was just the cutest story. It just happened to be on the most random app: Strava. Joshua had found her and sent her a friend request there and sent her a message. Within about a day of messaging, they had planned their first date!

Here is what Joshua said about how they first met:

“Just before the beginning of my second semester of my Junior year of college, I was invited to a farm conference. My Grandpa, Dad, and I sat in the middle of the seating area but I noticed there was a girl sitting alone at the very back. When my grandpa and dad were ready to leave I decided to go introduce myself to this girl that was alone. As we were talking, I decided to ask her for her number. She gave me her snapchat info and then my Grandpa, Dad and I left the conference. I started talking to her on snapchat for a little while and then decided to ask if she wanted to go get dinner sometime. It turns out, she had a boyfriend (now her Fiancé). However, she gave me Evie’s (now my Fiancé’s) contact information as she was single at the time. About a week later, I found Evie on a fitness social media app called Strava and friend requested her. I knew we’d have at least one thing in common given I found her on Strava so I messaged her about a week after talking to Jade (the girl in the back of the room). It turned out, we have a lot in common and she’s a really awesome, kind, funny girl! After about a day of messaging her, I asked Evie on our first date!”
