I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, twenty-something based out of Central Illinois. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love - photographing people! I specialize in weddings (destination + local), senior portraits, + boudoir.
Hey there, folks! Ready to hear about a wedding that’ll warm your heart even in the coldest of winters? Buckle up, because Grace and Cole‘s New Year’s Eve celebration is about to take you on a ride through a winter wonderland like no other.
Picture this: It’s New Year’s Eve, and the air is buzzing with excitement and anticipation. Grace, radiant as ever, dons a simple yet stunning trumpet-shaped dress, complete with a bow that adds just the right touch of whimsy. And those pearls? Oh, they’re not just for show – they adorn everything from her jewelry to her shoes and veil, tying together her elegant ensemble like a perfect winter bouquet.
Now, let’s not forget about our dapper groom, Cole. Decked out in a sleek grey suit complemented by a tweed vest, he’s the epitome of winter chic. Their portraits by the lake are nothing short of magical and just when you thought it couldn’t get any more picturesque, a light flurry of snow adds an extra sprinkle of romance to their first look and portraits.
But hold onto your hats, folks, because the real snowstorm – both literal and figurative – hits as they bid adieu to the timeless beauty of St. Thomas Church in Philo, IL. With the sun setting early in the winter sky, we seize the opportunity to capture some breathtaking nighttime portraits, the twinkling snow reflecting the joy and love that surrounds this special day.
Now, here’s where things get interesting – Cole, a die-hard Packers football fan, ensures that even amidst the wedding festivities, the Packers/Vikings game holds court. As a self-proclaimed newbie to the world of football, I couldn’t help but enjoy watching the game on the iHotel’s projectors myself!
And oh, what a reception it was! At the iHotel in Champaign, IL, the party kicks into high gear, with disco balls, evergreens, and candles lit everywhere. But the real star of the show? Mom’s homemade winter wonderland cake, a true masterpiece.
As the night unfolds, and the clock inches closer to midnight, everyone gathers around the dance floor for the formal dances, creating a moment that’s as timeless as it is unforgettable. With laughter in the air and love in our hearts, Grace and Cole’s New Year’s Eve wedding is a celebration to remember – a winter wonderland fairytale come to life.
So here’s to love, laughter, and happily ever afters – may your days be filled with as much joy and magic as this unforgettable night. Cheers to Grace and Cole, and to the endless adventures that await them on this journey called marriage.
