I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, thirty-something based out of Central Illinois. My best friend and I raise two kiddos on chaotic schedules in our vintage ranch and I couldn't love it more. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love for the people I love! I specialize in weddings (destination + local) and boudoir. I hope we have the chance to meet!
I’ve settled on the fact that I will likely never be caught up on the blog, therefore let’s all agree that we’ll just always be “throwing it back” from here out, mmkay? 😅 (Seriously though, if you’d be interested in working on that together… I’d be down to talk negotiations… 😉)
BUT BACK TO MY POINT.
This particular blog post is all about one sweet couple, Ellie + Bryant Burris.
I knew from their Allerton Park engagement session that they were a good time to hang with, but little did I know; that fact was valid for their entire wedding party & families as well. As I arrived to Crooked Creek for the first time ever, everyone was busy with some of the most elegant, clean, pink & gold wedding decor I’ve ever seen. It was stunning to walk through, the attention to detail apparent inside the reception hall including custom named cut-outs as place settings and through the view of the hall, big lighted letters spelling BURRIS♡ (that the venue provided!) across the pond, right next to the outdoor ceremony site.
I LOVED shooting at the estate, the day was glorious and full of sunshine as the wedding party got ready in the on-site cabin and bridal suite. The details Ellie put together for me full of ribbon, ring boxes, and custom vow books was a DREAM, and made for some of my all time favorite detail photos EVER.
The ceremony was sweet, the perfect shaded spot in the grass, and it was decorated perfectly – I LOVED her custom signage as you entered the site. 😍 It was fun keeping track of the little ring bearer who made himself comfortable (proof below) where ever he felt like it!
Fast forward to the reception, where the night was entertained by none other than The Feudin’ Hillbillies – you just can’t beat live music. The formal dances as the sun started to set, the live band, and the SHAKE TRUCK (AKA – The Sugar Box), could only have been topped by one thing: sparklers. And you bet your bottom dollar we did it.
It was an epic day for a couple of epic people, and I am thrilled to have these two as part of the Mager Image Couples Club!
