I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, twenty-something based out of Central Illinois. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love - photographing people! I specialize in weddings (destination + local), senior portraits, + boudoir.
So this was my first wedding at Sleepy Creek Vineyards and it did NOT disappoint! It was truly gorgeous there. I absolutely loved shooting amongst the vines at sunset – which we all know I’m already a sunset gal, but this put a whole new spin on it!!
Sara + Clint were just on the blog for their engagement session so you know that I was excited to shoot their big day! My gal, Kasey second shot with me so it was such a fun day being able to catch up and work with her! Kasey took the guys for the morning of and I went with the girls. The morning was pretty chill, but then it came to the first look….grab tissues when you see these pics!!
Clint had the BEST reaction to seeing his bride. He got a little glimpse of her, turned back around and then back around to Sara and got a full look. His head went straight into his hands sobbing. It was way too sweet.
One of my favorite pictures from the day was when Sara + Clint were exiting the church – the colorful confetti was so cute and it went perfectly with the stunning wildflower bouquets that they had. The table arrangements at the reception were covered in little vases and wild flowers. It was seriously so pretty!
After the sun went down and I had some fun in the vines with them and Sara’s ring (which might I add, is GORG) they did fireworks! It was the perfect ending to a great day!!
And to cap off the pictures, I was able to capture a picture with Sara and all her coworkers which are all child life specialists…AKA living, breathing angels.
“Our relationship has been unique in that we’ve been dating long distance, with him living in Charlotte, NC, during a global pandemic! In an ironic way, both of us cutting back hours at work allowed us more time to travel to see each other. Fairly early on in our relationship, we both felt that this was the ‘right’ fit for both of us and we often spoke about a life together. After designing a ring with Flora Gems, Clint planned a beautiful picnic, with a hidden photographer in Charlotte, however, Hurricane Delta had different plans. He ended up picking me up at the airport, taking me back to his house, and proposing there, with the security cameras set up to catch the moment.” – Sara
Sara + Clint, I feel so privileged to have been the one to capture your special day. You both hold such a special place in me and my family’s heart! Cheers to forever, you two! 🖤
