Ok, I’m excited to put Sara + Clint up here today because TOMORROW, July 3rd, is their big day!! So in the next 2 weeks you will be seeing a lot of them! We headed to downtown Champaign at Sipyard Alley for their shoot and damn I love it here! Sara had the perfect outfit to work with the graffiti – the bright yellow skirt (which I LOVE) paired with the plain black top was the best match for Sipyard Alley!

SOOOO a lot happened emotionally for me during this session. When asking Sara what she did for a living she told me she was a Child Life Specialist. I proceeded to go on about how we had an amazing one work with Bex when she was in and out of the hospital and they were amazing. I told her it was a game changer in our stay at Carle and it helped make Bex feel more secure and less scared. Sara got kind of quiet and let me know she was Bexley’s child life specialist. In that moment, I didn’t know what to say because I felt SO bad I didn’t recognize her but also because she made our experience something more than tragedy. She helped our family in a time when we needed it most. Needless to say I cried….and thanked her and apologized to her for not making the connection. But as she understood, so much was happening in that time of our lives. I am SO excited to pay back the favor she gave my family by capturing the most important moment of her life.

Enough with my sad story – but these 2 are SO cute that every bigger action pose I gave them (walking, spinning, etc) they did a practice run while waiting on me to get into position 😂 They wanted to get it right and I wasn’t mad about it to say the least!

You may have been following along with my IG stories during our excursion downtown, but we ran into Bekah with Rebekah Albaugh Photography and it was SO good seeing a familiar face!
