I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, twenty-something based out of Central Illinois. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love - photographing people! I specialize in weddings (destination + local), senior portraits, + boudoir.
So you’re probably wondering why the word inspiring is in the title….well let me tell ya! This was hands down the MOST in-love couple I have captured to date. For warning: I don’t think I have ever posted this many photos for #weddingwednesday but I just couldn’t narrow down the fun and love that this couple radiates.
Marti + Marty are simply amazing and yes, their names are the same which made for an interesting day. I started referring to them as “husband” and “wife” for photos so things didn’t get too confusing. What’s even cooler about their names is that they are both named after the same man… small world 🙂 But on a real note, Marti + Marty were the most perfect, laid back couple. I have never met a couple who didn’t care if it rained or not on their wedding day because they just simply wanted to be married.
The morning started with details while the ladies got their hair and makeup done. Marti’s dress was stunning and it was the stretchiest material I have ever felt on a wedding dress. She even mentioned how comfy it was! Marti’s ring was so unique with the turquoise wedding bands too! After I finished up with the ladies, I headed over to hang with Marty and the guys. They were so fun and laid back to be around. Marti + Marty didn’t do a first look so after the morning details, we headed to the Ford County Fairgrounds to grab photos of the guys.
After portraits, it was ceremony time and let me tell you guys, Marty LOVESSSSS his bride! He sobbed when he saw Marti and it was so freakin sweet I could barely handle it! I absolutely loved how emotional Marty was, I mean do you blame him though? She was stunning.
Once the ceremony finished Marti + Marty rode off in the carriage for bridals. I knew these bridals were going to be a breeze because I knew their love would literally flow right through my lens, and I was right! This was my first wedding to photograph at the Ford County Fairgrounds and I was ready to see the location not filled with fair rides and elephant ears. ? I was especially excited to capture bridals on the Ford County grandstands because I have wanted to do a session in that spot for so long. The uniqueness of the stone bleachers and having Marti + Marty together made my dreams come true! The grandstands were just the beginning though because we took advantage of all the buildings and even the adorable Marti + Marty entrance sign to the Fairgrounds!
While bridals took place, the guests were able to enjoy the gorgeous weather and the outdoor games. The reception was decorated perfectly with simple mason jar centerpieces. My favorite part of the day was Marti + Marty’s first dance. For the first time since I can remember in Mager Image history, I cried during a first dance. They were having the time of their lives on the dance floor and no joke their love is soooooooo damn sweet. I mean, this couple is crazy for each other and I almost can’t handle it. Their reception was so fun, and the dance floor was poppin till the end!
Marti + Marty, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your love story! I loved your love. Now, grab a snack and your favorite beverage, because this is gonna be a long one.
How cool are those cowhide rugs?! So original!
I MEAN LOOK AT HIS FACE. I’m crying, and you can’t tell me you’re not either.
It’s always special to see past Mager Image brides!! I actually had three brides in total but Kristen got in later and we missed our photo op!
I just cannot. These two couldn’t be sweeter.
