I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, twenty-something based out of Central Illinois. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love - photographing people! I specialize in weddings (destination + local), senior portraits, + boudoir.
In my experience, most clients book their photographer a few steps into the process of planning their wedding. For Maisie, I was one of the first people she talked to (even before she decided on her venue!), and could tell she was super excited. If I’m being honest, I was not only flattered to be included in such a big decision, but was also admittedly a tad nervous. Being someone’s first choice is great, but it also tends to create a level of expectations that I not only hope to meet but strive to surpass. Maisie was a classmate of mine in high school, and she has always been so nice and always happy, so I knew working with her and Dylan would still be a blast.
Maisie and I worked together to plan their engagement session, and even decided to start at their home to get a few shots with their sassy little furr-baby! After a little while of shooting, we headed to Meadowbrook Park in Urbana. It was my first time shooting there, and we didn’t even hit the tip of the iceberg! We were really hoping for a killer sunset, and the closer we got, the more it looked like we weren’t going to get it. I decided to bust out my lights anyways for a few shots with their motorcycle, and man, these are some of my favorite shots ever! These two knew how to rock that b@d@ss look with no problems! Who says you need a gorgeous sunset to do some off camera flash work?
I hope these photos live up to Maisie’s expectations! Thanks to Brittany Koryanis for Maisie’s makeup!
