I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, thirty-something based out of Central Illinois. My best friend and I raise two kiddos on chaotic schedules in our vintage ranch and I couldn't love it more. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love for the people I love! I specialize in weddings (destination + local) and boudoir. I hope we have the chance to meet!

From a quiet morning in an Airbnb to a parade through the streets of New Orleans, this day didn’t stay small for long.
Gracelyn & Calvin’s elopement was the kind of day that just kept unfolding, from slow, emotional moments in the morning to a full-on celebration by the end of the night.
I wouldn’t change a single second of it.
The day started tucked into an Airbnb, surrounded by friends, moms, and the people who matter most.
It was calm. Intentional.
The kind of morning that lets you actually feel what’s about to happen.
Before we ever left, Gracelyn shared a first look with her dad. One of those moments that hits you right in the chest. She gifted him a copy of a book he used to read to her when she was little, with a note inside. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
From there, we loaded up and headed to the McDonogh Oak in New Orleans City Park.
If you’ve never been, it’s unreal. Massive oak trees, Spanish moss hanging everywhere, and little pockets of architecture tucked throughout the park that feel like they belong in a movie.
They were married beneath one of those oaks, surrounded by their people. No chairs, no distractions. Everyone gathered close.
It was intimate, emotional, and full of the kind of smiles and tears that don’t need anything extra.
After the ceremony, we spent some time wandering the park for portraits, soaking in everything it had to offer, including one of the prettiest bridges tucked into the background of their photos.
Before heading out, we made a stop at Café Du Monde because you really can’t not.
What started as a quick snack turned into some of the most fun photos of the day. Feeding each other beignets, powdered sugar everywhere, and fully leaning into the moment.
Brandon came in clutch with a couple of hats for a few extra shots. Worth it.
From there, we made our way to Jackson Square to meet up with the rest of their guests.
We knocked out portraits in front of the cathedral in full sun and full heat. Then slowed things down just enough for everyone to relax, wander, and take in the energy of the city.
Which ended up being very important, because what came next was anything but chill.
With the Kinfolk Brass Band leading the way, Gracelyn & Calvin kicked off their Second Line, a New Orleans wedding tradition that turns your exit into a full-on parade.
Eight blocks.
A police escort.
Music echoing through the streets.
The strangers were fully invited.
Gracelyn spent the entire walk hyping people up and telling them to join in, and they did. Waving handkerchiefs, dancing along, and turning the whole thing into one big, moving celebration.
It was loud, sweaty, and one of my favorite things I’ve ever gotten to document.
After some dancing in the streets, we wrapped up at Kingfish, where they had a private dinner waiting.
Before the light disappeared, we stepped out across the street to the courthouse for a few last portraits. The perfect way to slow things back down after everything the day had been.
Golden light, a quiet moment, and a chance to breathe.
They invited us out to Bourbon Street to keep the celebration going, but I made the executive decision that Bourbon and my camera were not a good mix. 😂
So we left them to it, exactly where they should be, celebrating the hell out of their day.
This wasn’t just a wedding day.
It was a story that kept building. One moment leading into the next. Each part completely different, but somehow fitting together perfectly.
Gracelyn & Calvin, thank you for trusting me with all of it.
Every part. Every moment. Every step of the way.
I cannot wait to watch your stories unfold and once again, congratulations!
