Join me for a beautiful fall wedding in Kankakee
If any wedding screams fall, it is definitely Madison and Marc’s. From their color palette to their venue, everything made for the perfect fall wedding day!
We began the day at the Kankakee Country Club where everyone got ready for the day. The bridal suite had a severe lack of natural light, so I got creative and we ended up taking Madison’s getting ready photos in the hall of fame area. And it made for gorgeous photos! You could never tell that we had to improvise. Just give me a window and we can make some magic!
When it was time for the guys to get ready, I found them all standing in the bar area and they were all watching YouTube videos on their phones. So naturally I asked what was going on. Only to find that no one knew how to tie a bow tie and they were trying to learn! Another skill I’ve mastered over the years that comes in handy at many weddings. So I got Marc’s bow tie ready to go and then we headed back to the hall of fame area to get his photos done.
Now back to the gorgeous fall wedding colors! I mean the bridesmaids dress were all in a velvet fall color palette. It was giving all the texture and rich color you could ever ask for. It was amazing and I couldn’t get enough of it! You’ll also see Madison’s sister, Morgan, in those bridesmaids photos. Morgan is also a photographer and she is the one who found me and reached out. She owns Morgan Devore Photography. I am always so honored when I get to work with other photographers for weddings!
But anyway, back to Madison and Marc! Madison’s dress was absolutely gorgeous, so flowy and sparkly! And Marc’s boutonniere was fun and unique with the little wrench (an ode to his career as a diesel tech). We got to explore an array of options for photo locations around the country club, so you’ll see that throughout their photos.
Then it was off to the ceremony, which literally brought me to tears. It was so beautiful. I don’t get teary eyed a lot, but this one was so special. Madison even learned a song and played it on her violin for Marc. And they did a feet washing ceremony which had some beautiful symbolism behind it. She even had a little swoon after their first kiss. Like, you really can’t get much cuter than this!
Then we got some full bridal party shots and then headed into the most dreamy golden hour shots. The details of her dress really popped and made for the most gorgeous portraits!
And finally we got to their reception and it was just a really good time. Her and her sister did a little ode to White Christmas which was so fun! My sister in law Sam had pushed and pushed for me to watch it and finally the Christmas before Madison and Marc’s wedding I finally gave in and I absolutely love it, my kids absolutely love it, and I wish I hadn’t been so stubborn. But I thought it was so fun that Madison and her sister incorporated this into the reception dancing!
All of this to say, Madison and Marc had the perfect fall wedding day. I seriously can’t get enough of these photos, and these two cuties!
