A Unique September Wedding at Silver Creek.

It’s time to feature Katelyn and Calvin’s GORGEOUS September wedding on the blog this week and I am so excited for you to see these images!

Calvin was in my husband, Brandon’s, EMT class. They really hit it off and I eventually met Katelyn at a celebration at the end of their class. These two are just really cool people, and I was so excited when they reached out about wedding photography!

Their September wedding day turned out to be the most beautiful day! I started with details as always, and they were absolutely perfect. So unique and colorful, definitely fit for a Mager Image wedding! I even got to help Katelyn touch up her makeup before all the photos began, which was so much fun. Then it was off to the groom’s suite where we got some pretty badass dramatic lighting for Calvin’s getting ready shots.

Once the bridal party was dressed and ready to go, we headed out to Crystal Lake Park for some pre ceremony photos of the girls and the guys separately. I fell in love with these bridesmaid dresses and florals immediately. They were the perfect color palette for Katelyn and Calvin’s September wedding. Shout out to their florist for creating these gorgeous arrangements!

Then we headed over to Silver Creek for the ceremony. This is one of my absolute favorite smaller venues in central Illinois. It gives the perfect space for an outdoor September wedding ceremony and then you can head inside this beautiful greenhouse for the reception.  There is even a cool walkway that leads out behind Silver Creek to the perfect spot for photos. We headed back there for Katelyn and Calvin’s portraits, and I am so glad we did!

Then it was time to party! Even with the smaller wedding, this group was so lively and fun all night long. Guests even dropped off drinks at a special seat the couple had set aside for a loved one they had lost. It was such a special moment in their memory.

Overall, what I can say about this day is that it was just a fun day. Everyone was smiling and having a blast from start to finish, and it made for the best day. I am so happy for Katelyn and Calvin!
