A stunning outdoorsy engagement session.

A few months ago, I met up with my cousin Carissa and her fiancé Jon for their outdoorsy engagement session in the heart of Bloomington, IL. It’s been so fun welcoming Jon into the family at holiday celebrations. And when Carissa scheduled this session, I was pumped!

These two love adventuring outdoors, so we chose this fun water location to start. It’s hidden in a little park near Miller Park Zoo and it was the perfect spot. They wanted to keep it casual and feeling like them, and I think we knocked it out of the park!

After exploring this creek area, we headed to Miller Park for a more dressy look. If you’ve ever been to this park, you know it’s filled with beautiful bridges over the river, which we used to their full advantage to get these beautiful outdoorsy engagement session shots!

Then we headed to Ancho and Agave, and these two treated me to the most delicious dinner ever! If you ever have a chance to go, I highly recommend the Chicken Tortilla Soup. It was so good!

But, enough about that, back to Carissa and Jon. I seriously cannot wait for their wedding in February! It’s going to be at a ski resort, and it’s going to be epic. Just stay tuned! And for now, enjoy these photos from their outdoorsy engagement session.
