Sage Green Outdoor Wedding at Fair Oaks Farm in Fair Oaks, Indiana

I’m so excited to talk about this day!! First off, I brought a good friend with me to this wedding to shadow shoot (aka PAIGE, who will now be helping second shoot!!) and Natalie from NRS Photography was the second shooter! Lucky for Katie + Jake they had 3 cameras around all day long. And shit, am I glad they did because Fair Oaks Farm is something SO special!

Paige and I got there a little early (and ate at the fabulous Farmhouse restaurant) and were in instant awe of the scenery and the way the place was set up. We made it to the bridal silo in the hotel, YES, it is called a silo and it’s badass! It had a huge chandelier, purple couch, pearly walls, lots of natural light, and a perfect beauty bar – so ideal for getting ready! The guys got ready in the entertainment suite (which was sweet). It had a gaming table and lots of space.

The morning was pretty chill and right on schedule. One of my favorite parts of the morning was having Katie, who is expecting a baby girl very soon, get into her dress! Once it was all on and in one piece (thanks to Katie’s mom) it was perfect! It hugged that bump like a glove and she was truly glowing! Butttt I’d have to say my most FAV part was when Katie gave Jake a card – which cue the damn tears – because his reaction was so sweet! It was unexpected and not a planned thing which made it perfect!

The wedding was right outside the reception space, which has a gorgeous landscape. But the ceremony was a bit warmmmmm! That midwestern afternoon July heat HIT lol! Jake’s sister officiated which was so special, and might I add we were alllll obsessed with her cape sleeved jumpsuit.

The day went without rain, until after dinner and then she let loose and BAM…magic happened!!! A FREAKING RAINBOW!!!!! Katie + Jake had a damn rainbow on their wedding day, very few can say that!! They agreed to go out 1 more time for bridals and I’m SO glad they did BECAUSE SHIT!!!!! SO beautiful!!
