I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, twenty-something based out of Central Illinois. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love - photographing people! I specialize in weddings (destination + local), senior portraits, + boudoir.
When I see something that speaks to me on an entire new level I go after it! Literally, the minute Michelle’s Bridal posted the black wedding dress on their Facebook page, I knew I wanted and needed to photograph it! It was love a first sight, no joke. SOOO my style – dark, mysterious, romantic…just ALL the things!!
This entire shoot was styled around this dress and damn I’m glad it was. This dress is seriously so unique and the details are gorgeous! I envisioned this shoot to be totally badass and I’m pretty it was that and much more.
When thinking of what I wanted the design of the entire shoot to be – not just the dress – I chose dark and colorful. Looking back, Rachel (that curly haired beauty) and I were designing this shoot soon after losing our mom. We wanted to include some details that represented her. The skull was the biggest addition, as it was our moms, that she actually stole from a ranch while in Texas and the story is thrilling and badass at the same time! It seemed to fit into our theme by both meaning and looks!
I am so proud of this shoot and how it turned out! It would have never been possible without all the amazing vendors who also pitched in to make it great – see below 😉
We were all lucky enough to get this shoot published on Equally Wed!
