Let’s go back a few months, shall we?

I mentioned a few weeks back on my senior Instagram that (surprise surprise) I’m wayyyyy tf behind on blogging, especially with my seniors! I offered to whomever commented that they’d be first up on the blog and IG. Lanna’s up first!

You may feel like you’ve already seen her around here before – but you’re thinking of her sister, Laura. I did her senior sessions and, and just photographed her wedding! Both girls are absolutely stunning and there’s no denying a resemblance between the two of them.

Lanna wanted to head downtown Champaign for a colorful urban look, and boy did we achieve that! Complete with a purple door, warm yellow sunshine, pink walls, and more – I love this session. The main kickoff for the idea of downtown though were the walkways under the train tracks that have such neat effects on the photos and the columns create nice depth to shoot with! I think my favorites are against the white/grey plaster wall that’s slowly deteriorating. You’d probably never notice this spot in that parking lot and think I’m crazy when I ask to use it, but I love the texture! The great thing about shooting downtown Champaign is the variety of photo opportunities you can get within a simple block.
