I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, twenty-something based out of Central Illinois. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love - photographing people! I specialize in weddings (destination + local), senior portraits, + boudoir.
Second shooting for me often means having to travel a bit. Paxton is a town FULL of churches, but skimpy on reception venues! However, last September I had the wonderful opportunity to second shoot alongside Kara Evans, a photographer based out of St. Anne, IL, and she was coming to me! Timber Creek Bed + Breakfast is a hidden gem in the Paxton area. It’s barn-style Inn is situated at the end of a long winding lane in a secluded meadow surrounded by trees and a stream, and it’s ground is also host to a beautiful reception tent, which can give you that outdoor feel while still being under cover. It was so nice being back at Timber Creek again, as I’ve had the chance to work there twice before, once being the very first wedding I ever photographed as Mager Image! Kara is such a sweet, passionate, blush-obsessed lady and the first time we ever really got to spend time together was when she was a bridesmaid in one of my weddings! She was such a great help that day, I was excited to return the favor and watch her in action!
The day was a perfect fall day, and everyone was relaxing at the all-in-one venue, anxiously awaiting the day ahead. After everyone was dressed and ready, we coordinated some bridal party photos despite the fact that Brooke + Aaron wanted to wait to lay eyes on one another during the ceremony. The decor of the day was a mix of rustic chic and their obvious love for the outdoors, which paired beautifully with the blush bridesmaids dresses (all in a different shade!), tan suits, and gold accents. As things moved into the reception, sunset fell upon the venue, and we headed out for a quick minute or two for additional bridals, which are always worth it!
Kara, thank you for allowing me to come along with you for the day, it was such a blast and I can’t wait to work with you again in the future!
