I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, twenty-something based out of Central Illinois. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love - photographing people! I specialize in weddings (destination + local), senior portraits, + boudoir.
Happy Friday, everyone! Today I am super excited to share on of my favorite engagement sessions, maybe ever! Kaitlyn + Tom met up with me in Urbana to explore a bit at the Japanese Gardens and end directly on the University of Illinois campus, right where Tom proposed!
Kaitlyn + Tom went for an evening stroll around the campus where they both went to school together. As they walked, they came upon “the spot” where Tom asked Kaitlyn to be his girlfriend almost four years ago. When they approached the quad Kaitlyn noticed the christmas lights strung all around. Tom asked Kaitlyn to clap three times, and when she did, the lights lit up and a song played. It was the same song that they shared their first dance to, and in the middle of the quad, they danced once again. As they dance he told her how much he loved her and that he wanted to spend the rest of their lives together and as the song ended he got down on one knee and proposed.
I love stories like this. Bold. Romantic. Grand. I am so excited for these two to tie the knot this December!

I seriously love spring so much!
Kaitlyn’s ring, oh my gosh!
This was it, this is the spot where he proposed! They wanted to come back for a few shots to remember those moments!
How awesome is it that these two are BOTH going through medical school? Props to these two, and thank you for challenging me with stethoscopes to use for photos!
