Surprise Rainy Day Proposal on the U of I ACES Quad, Champaign, IL

JT + Emily met at the College of ACES on the University of Illinois, so I think it’s super fitting that it’s the spot JT decided to ask her to spend the rest of their lives together.

He and I planned for weeks to find a day that worked within our schedules and how we were going to go about this. He planned to lure Emily to an “anniversary photo session” that he had set up with me knowing full and well that he would eventually drop to one knee. What we did not plan for was rain!

We saw the forecast and tried to move it up, but in a huge boyfriend WIN, he made sure Emily would have her nails done in time for this session, and because of that there was no moving it up other than by a few hours. It turned out to be the PERFECT timing though because as we walked to the parking lot after their session was complete, the rain began!

I cannot wait for their big day!
