I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, twenty-something based out of Central Illinois. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love - photographing people! I specialize in weddings (destination + local), senior portraits, + boudoir.
Where the hell do I begin?! I have SO much to say about this one guys, so buckle up!!! I’m crazy, but I packed up the entire family (kids, grandma, and grandpa included) and we headed to Mississippi to shoot Samantha + JT’s wedding. After the way this year started this momma heart just couldn’t take a trip without the babies just yet.
The Venue at Roseoak is such a special place! Let me just say the day was gorgeous!! There chance of rain, but it cleared up after storming all night and it thankfully cooled everything down. Thank GOD because it could have been hot and humid as hell and it wasn’t! 🙌
Miss Lisa, the owner of The Venue at Roseoak was sweet as pie!! She converted the property which was once their family home into the venue it is today and it is unbelievable! I love that there are chandeliers everywhere you look and the tree you’ll see in the pictures that they got married under is 300+ years old, how freaking cool is that?! We were stationed at the venue the entire day since Miss Lisa has a salon and a guys den on site.
Brandon and I bounced between the girls and guys the morning of which was so convenient. Samantha’s dress was custom made and it was so HER!! It was fun, sexy and very unique. The beading and detailing was impeccable! NO ONE had seen her dress until she did a first look with them the DAY OF THE WEDDING!! Even her mom hadn’t seen her dress – such strength it must have taken to keep that secret. It was so special! She did a first look with her sisters, her brother and her mom. To top her look off, she had the cutest custom Converse!
JT got his hair done the morning of the wedding and he also had a custom get-up. The emerald suit was absolutely killer and I was obsessed with the velvet lapels. I loved that the groom was in a contrasting suit, he stuck out and it brought their wedding colors into the photos of just the two of them. He just looked so sharp!
Samantha’s bouquet was very spring appropriate, had a nice variety of colors and textures. Amazingly, Miss Lisa, the venue owner, did all the florals – such talent! The bouquets complimented the emerald green vibe!
Samantha + JT had such a fun, lively bunch with them. You can really see it in the processional and reception introductions. They drove up in a really cool vintage car and then JT DANCED into the ceremony (how freaking fun)!! The ceremony was sweet. Samantha + JT decided against a first look and he turned around right when Samantha was coming down the aisle and BAM….TEARS!!
The reception was one hell of a party. Their DJ was AMAZING!!! The cake was so beautiful and to top it all off we had a kick ass sunset – which is my favvvve, as you know! They had a cute sparkler exit and then fireworks at the reception down the pond. It was such a perfect ending to a perfect day!
“He proposed to me on the night of my graduation. He was supposed to be leaving to go offshore for work but instead, he stayed and surprised me by gathering his entire family and my family at my graduation ceremony.” – Samantha
Samantha + JT, I can’t begin to thank you enough for letting us celebrate and capture your perfect southern day! I hope you love these images as much as I do. 🖤

The pictures are just beautiful. Thank you so much for making this day for my niece one to remember as they grow old together in Love.
This was a beautiful wedding. The bride dress 👗 was beautiful and she was beautiful in it. The groom was dressed in a gorgeous green three piece suit, my favorite color. The photos are the best i’ve ever seen. I know she will have a wonderful album to enjoy and share with her children and grandchildren.
