I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, thirty-something based out of Central Illinois. My best friend and I raise two kiddos on chaotic schedules in our vintage ranch and I couldn't love it more. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love for the people I love! I specialize in weddings (destination + local) and boudoir. I hope we have the chance to meet!
When Megan + Caleb were first engaged, it was on the top of the to-do list to find a photographer. With the help of sister-in-law Kaula (who you all probably know of by now) they had their blind pick of people, looking only at their work and style, and fortunately they chose my work! From there it was choosing a date, locking in the venue, and all of the little planning steps in between. Almost 9 months of planning (and 11 years of dating) and the day had finally arrived.
The girls started their early day at the Salon 105 in Mahomet where we met up with them for a little bit. The salon is super cute and all of the girls looked fabulous! We then headed to the church to arrive a bit before everyone got there, which gave us the perfect opportunity to photograph all of Megan’s details, including the stunning Flowers by Kristine bouquet, which I knew was going to be a showstopper even before we arrived because Kristine is a floral Goddess!
I absolutely love the Wesley United Methodist Chapel, in fact, it may be one of my favorite church venues in all of Champaign. Not only is the chapel gorgeous, but the rooms in which the girls and guys can get ready in are stunning! So stunning in fact, that we chose to stay in the heat for the first look, and I am in LOVE with those images! It was a sweet and heartfelt ceremony, and we then headed to Pear Tree Estates for a handful of bridal portraits and the best part, the party! Dinner (as usual) was fabulous thanks to LA Gourmet, and when the dance floor finally opened up after the formal dances, I’m pretty sure it was packed from start to finish!
Megan + Caleb, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I am often humbled by the fact that out of all of your wedding day photographer options, you chose me. I truly had a blast with you both and thank you for your patience in getting this blog post live. I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon in Thailand and don’t forget to send lots of photos because I’m suuuuper jealous!

The cutest little flower girl!
I absolutely love being able to use the Wesley United Methodist Church as a backdrop for morning details. It’s SO pretty.
THIS, my friends, is why your photographer will almost beg you for a getting-ready space with NATURAL light.
I don’t think I could be more obsessed with Caleb’s getting ready photos. Seriously, so dark, moody, and dramatic. I LOVE them.
It also made the perfect spot for their first look!
