I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, twenty-something based out of Central Illinois. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love - photographing people! I specialize in weddings (destination + local), senior portraits, + boudoir.
As I arrived for the ceremony the morning of Bethany + Larry‘s wedding, I spoke a little bit with Larry, who was giddy with excitement. “I’ve been waiting way too long to marry this woman, I can’t wait…” were the exact words he used, and that’s the moment I knew that this day was going to be magical. It may have started a bit rocky on my part due to and ER run by my husband the morning of that resulted in a last minute change of second shooter (thanks Sam for stepping in!) and an all day 50 mph wind advisory, but now that it’s all said and done, we ROCKED that wind and Brandon is a-ok!
Bethany, Larry, + the staff of Willow Creek had decided earlier in the week that their outdoor ceremony by the pond would most likely no longer be held outside, and once we arrived the morning of, I think everyone was alright with that plan! I’m pretty sure I heard Bethany say a few times how happy she was that things got moved into the horse barn. The ceremony was beautiful and made me tear up many times, especially when they did a sand ceremony that included four colors, two for them and two for their two children, it was so sweet! After the ceremony we braved the wind and the cold and headed outside for portraits, which were a challenge with such strong winds! There’s not much wind cover out at Willow Creek, so we found small refuge against the house before the bridal party headed inside and we drove around for portraits. We finished up on top of the hill where it was nothing BUT wind, but with the sunset we had, it was WELL worth it! Just wait ’til you see!
Bethany + Larry, thank you so much for including me in your love story and wedding day. I can’t wait to show you every image from Sunday, but until then, here’s a sneak peek!
I just wish you could understand the struggle we had to not only get portraits that didn’t look like these two were about to be blown away, but to get Bethany out here without breaking an ankle! It was so worth it though!!!
I MEAN COME ON WITH THAT SUNSET.
I looooove these first dance photos inside Willow Creek Farm, WOW.
