I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, twenty-something based out of Central Illinois. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love - photographing people! I specialize in weddings (destination + local), senior portraits, + boudoir.
I always love a barn wedding, but a fall barn wedding at Engelbrect Farms is always a treat! It’s a nice 5 minute commute from our home, which came in very handy later in the night – we’ll talk about that later. Anyways, Brandon and I arrived to the guys prepping the ceremony space outdoors and the girls in the house getting ready. I loved doing detail shots with the gorgeous succulent bouquet and dusty blush color of the bridesmaids dresses! It was a pretty cloudy and cold day, but luckily the girls had denim jackets that looked amazing with their dresses if they got cold! I’ll keep this short and sweet, but still want to thank Ryan and Paige for including us on your lovely day. We can’t wait to show you everything from our perspective soon, but in the meantime, here’s a pretty long blog post to tie you over!
I loved paige’s earrings!!!
The girls thought I was insane for shutting off all lights and sitting in the dark, but the lighting in these photos has my whole heart.
Matron-of-Honor Missy handled all the florals, and killed it with the guys boutonnieres!
Paige + her dad’s first look was so sweet.
Of course Paige + Ryan’s first look had to take place in front of the “famous” Engelbrecht Farm barn doors!
I loved the way Ryan’s daughter Ava was included in the ceremony with a sweet reading.
MARRIED!
Ryan built this hotrod and had it brought to Engelbrect Farms just in time for the wedding day! It made a super cool backdrop for photos!
A favorite from their first dance!
So as I said earlier, living close came in handy when my klutzy self knocked over this very bottle of Crown Royal Apple on to the floor shortly after the dances were over. Lucky for me, Brandon made a quick trip into town to replenish their bottle while we cleaned up the mess and I was thoroughly embarrassed (and smelling slightly of alcoholic apples) for the rest of the night!
