A Classic Romantic Wedding at the Walton Centre | Fairbury, Illinois

Happy wedding Wednesday friends! Today I get the distinct honor of sharing Dayna and Shawn’s wedding day with you.  We started the morning in Roberts at the Inspired By You Salon, which brought back many good memories since that’s where I got wedding day ready almost 5 years ago! We were greeted with a happy group of girls and gooorrgeous mint and blush details paired with some stunning florals to match. We then bawled our eyes out as Dayna saw her dad for the first time and had such a sweet and touching moment. After the ceremony the Fairbury Golf Course was gracious enough to let us on to their grounds for a few photos with the bridal party before heading over to the Walton Centre for the reception. It was my first time ever being in the Walton Centre and it is gorgeous! I most definitely hope to be able to head back there again! Dayna + Shawn, thank you so very much for including me in capturing your once in a lifetime day.

When we arrived the first thing I noticed were the florals. They were gorgeous and went perfect with Dayna’s mint and blush vision.

Dayna added a bolero to her ceremony bridal look, which was a gorgeous addition! 

Shawn told me the story behind this necklace, which is part of what he wrote to Dayna. He told me he’d kept the necklace in his truck for a long time anticipating the perfect moment to give it to Dayna from their late grandmother. All. the. feels.

Speaking of emotional moments! There wasn’t a dry eye while watching dad see Dayna for the first time. 

I loved this globe they used as a guest book alternative! The sign sitting next to it read “You mean the world to us!” – so sweet and clever! 

I just loved these florals! 

It was SO HOT, but these two were complete troopers for their bridal portraits! 

As Kaula and I were eating dinner, she checked the weather. It was a good thing she did to because forecast showed that we only had MINUTES before a heavy rainstorm was supposed to start. Luckily Dayna, Shawn, and Lucas the DJ were all super flexible and allowed us to step outside for a handful of portraits around the Walton Centre. We moved SO fast, but got some really great shots, and this time it wasn’t so hot!
