I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, twenty-something based out of Central Illinois. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love - photographing people! I specialize in weddings (destination + local), senior portraits, + boudoir.
I first met Alexandra + Andrew in college, and it wasn’t hard to tell that this was a love that only comes once in a lifetime. After years and years of dating, they both moved out on their own together. Two years later as Valentine’s Day was approaching, and Alexandra + Andrew both decided to take things easy this holiday and agreed to just go to dinner, no gifts. Feeling as if she needed something tangible to gift her love, Alexandra picked up a card and some of Andrew’s favorite candy to give him that evening. When Andrew came home empty handed, Alexandra couldn’t help but feel a bit testy about the situation. I mean, in her defense, “let’s keep things simple” with most women never means anything. It wasn’t anything to throw away an entire evening over though, and Andrew began to get ready for their evenings late reservations while Alexandra snacked on an apple. When Andrew got out of the shower, Alexandra choked on her snack, as he was standing in their kitchen with a box. THE box. Not just a card, no candy, but a BOX. He was barely able to get out a “Will you marry me?”, and only after making Andrew get down on one knee, and checking to make sure he had asked her dad, she said yes!
Andrew is the shy quiet type, but you can tell his world revolves around Alexandra. She is such a fun spirited woman that you can’t help but feel like best friends with her in the first 5 minutes of meeting her, and I am so happy to be able to work with her in planning their May wedding!
Andrew had this gorgeous gem since July! This Paxton location was perfect for these two agriculture majors! SO. MUCH. FUN.
Happy Friday!
