I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, twenty-something based out of Central Illinois. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love - photographing people! I specialize in weddings (destination + local), senior portraits, + boudoir.
Fall was in the air, and we had a crisp breeze following us. However, it was one of the first days of sunlight I had to work with this season! I’m not sure why the sun has been so difficult this fall! Anyways, when we met at Pells Park in Paxton, I first went over outfit choices with Emily and her mom, as I do with every senior. It was as if Emily read my mind on what to wear for fall photos! I LOVED her style so much! After working for a little while in the park, Emily took out the violin she has played for years. I am OBSESSED with violins. The sound of them makes my heart skip a beat! So naturally (and a little selfishly) I had her play whatever she wanted in the park. I took my photos, and just sat and listened. She plays like an angel! Anyways, after we finished at the park, Emily and her mom wanted to head to a cemetery. Yes. A. CEMETERY. Having never been there, I wasn’t aware of the little slice of heaven that sits right in the middle of this cemetery. Complete with a gazebo, red bridge, and one of the coolest trees I’ve ever seen, it was perfect! We finished up a few photos downtown Paxton and called it a day! Thank you so much Emily for coming to me to capture your senior photos, and I hope the rest of your senior year is a blast!
