I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, twenty-something based out of Central Illinois. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love - photographing people! I specialize in weddings (destination + local), senior portraits, + boudoir.
I’ve been terrible about blogging, as you know, so today’s #throwbackthursday post is going to cover Ramey + Codey’s Shelbyville wedding!
I told you all about how Ramey and I go wayyy back when I blogged their engagement session, and I was anxious to photograph their wedding day! It was finally here, and I checked the Shlebyville weather and it looked like it was going to be gorgeous! Turns out it was right, as we had some gorgeous golden hour light during bridal portraits!
This was my second time photographing a wedding at Spruce Street Studios and the first time I was the second shooter, so I was excited to see the place again. It’s a cute place, with multiple places to host either your ceremony, reception, or both! I especially love the crystal chandeliers in what they refer to it as “Studio A”. Ramey + Codey opted to keep things simple, and their ceremony space was later turned over into their reception space. No travel time for guests is always a perk. We ventured off to the Shelbyville Sunken Gardens for photos after the ceremony, and the light was so incredibly dreamy!
Their day was filled with love and laughter, and so many personal touches from this down to earth couple! I loved the purple bridesmaids dresses paired with boots, and the jeans with the suit jackets for the guys. A family friend took over the florals for Ramey, and they did a marvelous job bringing it all together.
I wish you both years of happiness, enjoy!
I absolutely loved the charms on Ramey’s boots! mas
Those chandeliers, seriously. I loved the design of the bridesmaids dresses, and they paired so well with the jean jackets and cowgirl boots! Ahhhhhhh that LIGHT! The perfect golden hour light in the fall time should be an every day, all year kind of thing.
