I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, twenty-something based out of Central Illinois. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love - photographing people! I specialize in weddings (destination + local), senior portraits, + boudoir.
For years now, we’ve wanted to go to Vegas. It was Brandon’s dream to go as soon as he turned 21, but then dating a 20-year-old (me) meant I would have either had to stay home (boo) or stay back while he went to experience Vegas. That next year, I turned 21, and was planning a wedding the next month! So things got put on hold again. After the wedding, Brandon’s brother Ben (who also wanted to go) was one year away from turning 21. It looked like we were going to wait another year. Here we are, almost five years later, and we can finally cross Vegas off our bucket list, though maybe not permanently, because we LOVED it and would go again in a heartbeat! When Brandon, Ben, and their dad Fred learned that the annual HVAC convention was going to be held in Vegas, they immediately started dreaming up plans to try and go for a work trip, while piggybacking the much anticipated family vacation on top of it. After much deliberation and work adjustments were made by all, the flights, resort, and tickets were booked. Finally!
At the end of January we jumped on a red eye flight out of Chicago and landed in Vegas in just enough time to head out check out the close by attractions. We could see the High Roller from our balcony at the resort, which was so cool! The next night Fred and Lisa went to see Terry Fator, the boys (Brandon + Ben) went to check out more casinos, and Sam and I went to see BRITNEY SPEARS! It was so much fun! I loved walking the strip the next day, seeing everything from the MGM Grand to the water show at the Bellagio, the weather was absolutely perfect! We ventured over to Freemont Street a couple times, and the light show is incredible which adds to the unique atmosphere. We all kind of wandered off on our own in the casinos, and I loved to play Three Card Poker! I had never before played roulette, but it quickly became a favorite for everyone to play together. The last night there we got to see Matt Franco, winner of America’s Got Talent, and it was amazing! It was so much fun, and as much as I loved waking up every day to warm weather, blue skies, and palm trees, in the end, we missed Bexley and were ready to be home. I’m too chicken still to take my camera with me out and about, so enjoy these iPhone photos! Ha!
It’s Britney! We enjoyed an amazing dinner before the concert at Pampas Brazilian Steakhouse, highly recommended!
When your child who’s at home loves Olaf, you get your photo taken with Olaf.
Probably one of my favorite places we saw! New York, New York
The light show at the Bellagio was breathtaking, especially when accompanied by a gorgeous sunset!
Everything was decorated for the Chinese New Year, and it was so pretty!
If you can’t tell, I was a little obsessed with the palm trees!
Random photo of food, I know, BUT, this is a BURRITO made with SUSHI. WHAT?! #dreamscometrue
I want to send out a special thank you to Brandon’s parents, Fred and Lisa, who without them our trip would have never been possible.
We can’t wait to go back in 2018, and will be excited to see more! We hope to follow this article on the best new things to do while we’re there!

Thank you for sharing. No matter what you take photos with, they are always great. Bexley and I had a wonderful time as well, but she was also missing her mom and dad.
