Oh this day. My my my, how I loved every detail Abbey and Kale worked out. From the mint bridesmaids dresses to the light pink and gold accents throughout the day, we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. Abbey and I had met for lunch the week before the big day to discuss details and walk around scouting out locations. We had a 70% chance of storms all day long, so we hoped to scout out locations that would work in the chance of rain. Let me tell you, meeting with Abbey was like meeting with my best friend I hadn’t seen in years. We caught up, chit chatted about the new things in life, and laughed about the stresses of wedding planning. She is so incredibly sweet, and Kale is no different. These two are such kind hearted, humble, fun-loving people that make the stresses of being a business owner worth it.

St. Matthew’s Catholic Church is newly renovated, and gorgeous! The ceremony went off without a hitch, and after family formals we headed to downtown Champaign with no sight of rain anywhere nearby. It was beautiful, sunny, and hot, but it didn’t stop Abbey and Kale from a good time with their bridal party by their sides. After photos, we headed back on the trolly and prepared for the reception. Abbey’s dad gave a toast that put me into tears, and I was almost brought to tears when their daddy/daughter song began with Butterfly Kisses (my weakness) but was surprised when the song came to a halt and they began to bust moves to other funky hits. I am normally in on secrets like this, but didn’t see it coming and it was so funny to see Abbey’s dad throw moves on the dance floor!

I had such a hard time narrowing down images for their blog post, so prepare yourself for a long one! Thank you Abbey and Kale for including me in such an important part of your day and making me feel like family. This one’s for the books!
