I'm a coffee loving, travel-obsessed, twenty-something based out of Central Illinois. I'm lucky enough to make a living doing what I love - photographing people! I specialize in weddings (destination + local), senior portraits, + boudoir.
This past fall was a busy one for me. So busy in fact that I’m still playing catch up on the blog (aren’t I always??) Regardless, these two get married in just a few months so I wanted to make sure their session made it to the front lines before their big day! After pinning down the date, it’s usually time to start planning locations, but Dayna and Shawn already knew where they wanted! We met up at the University of Illinois Campus to hit some of the popular locations. Campus during fall is so pretty, but filled with students busy with classes, so on to the U of I Arboretum we went! The trees there in autumn are absolute perfection, with many yellows, oranges, and reds to shoot around! Dayna was in the process of applying to Vet School when we met, so after walking around finding all the perfect fall trees, we headed over to the barns that sit right on the edge of the U of I campus. It was right as the sun was setting (which we allll know is the best time of day) and the light was that golden color I live for. We finished up with a couple silhouettes and even though there was only enough sun left to work with, I think they’re some of my favorites!
