Behind the Lens 2017
Another year. Damn. It’s so hard to believe that 2018 will be the start of my FIFTH year with Mager Image Photography. I have been so fortunate to have stumbled into this job that started as a side hobby and turned into something I not only cherish with my whole heart but can support my family on. It’s been an incredible journey and this is probably my favorite blog post of the entire year. This year I get to share with you all of my favorite behind the scenes photos I store away almost all year long and save for this very moment. I’ve worked with so many great individuals this past year and I am excited to introduce them to you (maybe not for the first time!) Together we’ve worked over twenty-five weddings, traveled from Michigan and Indiana to Florida and all over in between, and photographed not only weddings, seniors, a handful of families, even a couple of proposals! I started the year with my very first styled shoot and have even been published a handful of times! I am excited to see what 2018 brings and what embarrassing photos I find throughout next year! One disclaimer before we get started: for those of you who don’t know, yes I do wear the same outfit for every wedding. I love it. Less thinking on the day of!
But before we begin, grab your coffee! My wedding day tradition is an iced caramel macchiato (with an extra shot!) and this post is always LONG.

I LOVE every single one of my couples, and try to catch a quick photo with everyone before leaving! We’re usually all a hot mess by the time we remember, but oh well!
And yes, yes I do know I’m creepy. I always say I’m the creeper in the corner. Get used to it.

I tell almost every bride that I’ll most likely be the one to put in or take out their veil, place boutonnieres on the guys, and bustle their dresses. Most don’t believe me until the day of, and BAM, I’m there. ?
I love the *ish out of detail shots! 
I couldn’t do what I do without the help of second shooters, and love being a second shooter for dear friends of the industry!
